How long have you been with Greensleeves?

“It’s been six years. ”

Tell us a little bit about what you do…

“I do most of the admin with some help from my wife Jean, I also do the majority of the quotes and I go and visit customers to assess their lawns and help them decide what needs to be done to achieve the lawn they want.”

Who else is on your team?

“We have three full-time lawn managers”.

Which areas do you cover?

“Hartlepool, Sedgefield, Billingham, Wynyard, Norton, Stockton, Eaglescliffe, Yarm, Kirklevington, Hutton Rudby, Stokesley, Great Ayton, Great Broughton, Guisborough, Redcar, Saltburn, Marske, Skelton, Loftus, Middlesbrough, Eston, Normanby”

Are you a dog or a cat person?

“Definitely a dog person. We have a West Highland Terrier called Boris who has trained my wife and I to pander to his every whim!”

What’s the best thing about your job?

“Meeting people.”

Why did you choose to specialise in lawns?

“Because we have a decent size lawn which we laid ourselves and are slightly obsessive about keeping it looking good.”

Which season do you most prefer to work during?

“Spring.”

What do you like to listen to in your van?

“BBC Podcasts.”

Which is your favourite service station?

“Whichever has the cheapest diesel.”

What’s your favourite post-work snack or lunch item?

“Hot roast beef sandwich.”

Are you a tea or coffee person?

“Coffee in the morning and tea in the afternoon.”
