Supporting WWF

Last Sunday saw 57,000 runners gather
in Newcastle to take part in one of the biggest events of the running calendar,
the Great North Run. Among the participants was the Greensleeves Lawn Treatment
Experts Team who had made it their mission to complete the course to help raise
awareness and funds for the WWF. A complete mix of experienced runners and
novices, we are extremely proud to announce that all members of the team
successfully completed the 13.1 mile course, some with rather impressive times.
In total the team jointly raised over £6000 for the WWF, a fantastic
achievement.

Abi Nichol, WWF UK Event Fundraiser was
extremely pleased and stated ‘We are so grateful for Greensleeves support, and
are incredibly proud of their achievements. Not only in completing the Great
North Run half marathon itself, but raising a huge amount of sponsorship for
Team Panda. This money will be used to help protect our beautiful planet, and
make a difference where it matters.’

The WWF is a charity that is close to
Greensleeves the Lawn Treatment Experts hearts due to the nature of their
business. The organisation is committed to safeguarding our planet; the
challenges that they face are huge and it is an ongoing battle to ensure that
the wildlife, forests, rivers, oceans and climate is preserved for generations
to come. The Greensleeves team look forward to taking on their next challenge,
whatever that may be.
